Kings Lane Warehouse public event

This public launch event was held at

The Waterfront Conference Centre
(At the waterfront Community Church SA1 8QY)

on Wednesday May 20th at 7.00pm

We held a public launch event on Wednesday 20th May to introduce our exciting and ambitious plans for a prestigious print centre in Swansea which will be an important cultural centre for the whole of South Wales. 

The evening included a presentation of the design by the award winning architect Sarah Wigglesworth.  This was an opportunity to view the plans for the conversion of the 19th Century warehouse off the historic Kings Lane in swansea and to talk to representatives of everyone involved.

Your support for this unique public facility is important to us, and we were delighted to welcome an enthusiastic audience who attended at The Waterfront Conference Centre, in the new SA1 development.

The evening included

  • The introduction of our exciting and ambitious plans for a prestigious print centre in Swansea

  • A presentation of the design by the award winning architect Sarah Wigglesworth.
    Sarah Wigglesworth Architects are an award-winning architecture practice dedicated to pursuing excellence and integrity in design.  Specialists in low energy and sustainable building, creating environments that are valued by and meaningful to users that can be achieved by modest means and can be maintained economically.

  • A presentation by Phil RobertsCity and County of Swansea, Strategic Director of Regeneration and Housing. Responsible for Culture & Tourism, Community Regeneration, Strategic Development, Projects and Housing who will talk on the strategy for the city centre including specific proposals around High Street and Parc Tawe and the Cultural Strategy approach of the directions emerging on our arts strategy and creative industries

  • A presentation by Coastal Housing Group on the urban village development

  • A presentation by Jackie Ford on behalf on Swansea Print Workshop

  • A display of the plans

  • An opportunity to talk to representatives of everyone involved.

This was an opportunity to view the plans for the conversion of the 19th Century warehouse off the historic Kings Lane in swansea which will be an important cultural centre for the whole of South Wales.
